Welcome to my Finnish autodidact mixologist’s website. I have never worked in a bar nor have I ever been in contact with cocktails or alcohols professionally. This site is all about my mixology hobby and things surrounding it. All content outside this page (apart from this About Me page) is available only in Finnish so the amount of usable information to anybody not speaking Finnish might be minimal. On my site you can see the cocktails I’ve made and plan on making. You can also see the alcohols I’ve reviewed and used along with the tools I use within mixology. I have a small blog in Finnish as well.
COCKTAILS I’VE RECENTLY MADE
I make cocktails in my home bar. You can find all added cocktails here. I’ve also separated the already made and waiting to be made cocktails from each other. By clicking any cocktail you can see the specific recipe (incl. source) and specific ingredients I’ve used along with my review of the cocktail. MY LATEST ALCOHOL ACQUISITIONS
To be able to create my own (hopefully tasty) original cocktails at some point, I have to know the flavors of the alcohols I use. That’s why I’ve tasted and reviewed the alcohols I’ve acquired. The tasting and reviewing is done in small amounts neat. You should note that I’m usually not a fan of any strong alcohols neat. I’ve not reviewed all of the acquired alcohols yet. MY LATEST ALCOHOL REVIEWS
I rate my alcohols by reviewing the flavor, nose, look of the bottle and look of the liquid itself. From these four ratings I calculate a general score for each alcohol. I use a weighted calculating system, where the flavor is 60% of the general score, the nose is 20%, the look of the bottle 15% and the look of the liquid 5%. YOUTUBE / VIDEOS
I have a YouTube channel called Autodidakti Miksologi. I make cocktail videos in my home bar and after editing I upload them to YouTube for you to hopefully enjoy. The soundtrack is only available in Finnish for now. Below you can see my latest videos. There might also be some other mixology related content on the channel.
